Draw freeform lines with pen

The whiteboards pen tool allows you to draw freely, enabling a more expressive and creative way to collaborate visually.

Create with the pen tool

Begin drawing on your whiteboard from your toolbox or by using the shortcut p.

1. Select the pen icon from the main toolbar.

2. The pen tool will be activated, allowing you to draw on the whiteboard.

3. Click and hold your mouse or stylus to start drawing. Release to finish your line.

Edit a drawing

You can edit your drawing’s formatting. Edits can also be made in bulk to a group of selected drawings.

1. Select one or more by:

   • selecting a single drawing

   • selecting and dragging your cursor over multiple drawings

   • selecting multiple drawings individually while holding Shift

2. Use the toolbar to edit color and text formatting.

Format drawings

Width

Adjust the line width using the toolbar. There are three width options

Color

To edit the color of a drawing:

1. Select the drawing.

2. Select the color picker in the floating toolbar.

3. Select a new color.

You can change drawing colors in bulk by selecting multiple sticky notes.

Delete a drawing

To delete a drawing from your whiteboard:

1. Select one or more by:

   • selecting a single drawing

   • selecting and dragging your cursor over multiple drawings

   • selecting multiple drawings individually while holding Shift

2. Select Delete.
